To my beloved Art Major Class:

For those of you who lost the teapot checklist thingy I hall type it out for you :) (briefly with important points )

  • Using Pottery In Australia or Ceraimcs Art and Perception, sketch at least 3 interesting teapots. Label each with the artist's name, size of the work and the date of completion.
  • Find 3 images or objects by various Dada or Surrealist artists that challenge your ideas of reality, perception or functionalism of everyday objects or events (they cannot be artworks studied in class)
  • Draw at least 2 ideas for your teapot in your VAPD. They must: remove function, have strong conceptual meaning, challenge assumptions, evoke confused, dreamlike or surreal mood and use addition or subtraction to form construct meaning.
  • Consider Dali's use of Illusion or Magritte's interiors where unexpected or contradictory backgrounds such as sky and pebbles are included. Text music or foreign materials could also be considered. Choose and draw your chosen design in colour in your VAPD
From here its the actual construction of the teapot...which you all have done I presume ?Hope this helps :)
